Heidegger’s work has exerted a strong influence on the French school of thinking since the Thirties, hence its central position in the French philosophical debate. Far from being finished, this trend has been going on in a less evident but still incisive way in the latest years. As a matter of fact Heidegger’s philosophy has played a very important role in the revival of phenomenological studies as it proves to be a decisive factor in the detection of the boundary between hermeneutics and phenomenology.
