The recent economic crisis has oriented the European negotiations toward an increasing of the member States’ centrality within the European policy-making, by attempting to influence directly the decision-making process and thus protecting their national interests. This article would like to analyze the presence of a national way of lobbying based on the creation of spaces of coordination among those actors operating in Brussels who share the same nationality. National Coordination Spaces ( NCS ) may be an integrative avenue in order to influence the negotiations at the European level, thanks to both cultural and linguistic aspects. These relational strategies are often informal, thus making the presence of NCS more difficult to be observed.
