In recent years, the development of social media has affected several aspects ofour individual and social lives. Social media appear to be places where a storytelling, whichhas jointly been built among users, takes shape. Their range of action has extended beyondinterpersonal relationships, thus affecting important social processes, such as the representationof reality. This co-construction of the story, through the production, exchange and sharingof contents (posts, images, videos), is the result of processes of reflexivity which, in theconnection state, are intented as a care for social relations. Starting from these assumptions,the article aims at investigating the connection among social media, education and reflexivity,with particular reference to the way through which the online storytelling, whether it isvoluntary or not, has always a formative self and peer assessment function, which results inself-caring, caring for others and for the things of the world.
