The health emergency for COVID-19 has had economic and social effects worldwide.States responded with ad hoc interventions and this had serious effects on the life andjob of citizens. The article analyzes the consequences of DPCM (decrees of the Presidentof the Council of Ministers) for the female gender. As will be seen, the pandemic was notneutral and government interventions worsened the pre-COVID-19 gender gap. With therestart, radical projects and interventions are therefore necessary.
