Despite its name and the flamboyant rhetoric it inspired, the «Good school» law follows in the footsteps of previous Italian school reforms that did not attempt to overhaul the system, but introduced incremental changes. The article discusses three key aspects of the law, namely the permanent recruitment of temporary teachers, the increasing power granted to school principals, and the promotion of internships.
