Agriculture territory or urban territory? The transitional site. The hybrid landscape of the city suburbs needs a historical understanding of the link between settlement and past agriculture landscape, which is expressed via the acknowledgment of the freehold plot, the urban green areas, the cultivate areas (although with productive functions) and the public places with an important cultural identity; in other words, of all those sites transformed by history as an interpretation of every specific urban identity.
