In this review we have discussed the psycho-social literature on the relations between geneticsand conservatism. After describing the ACE model, i.e. the main theoretical andmethodological approach in this research field, and the main dependent variables used inthe studies on this issue, we have presented some classic and some recent research showingthat, in spite of a number of methodological limitations, conservatism is, at least in part,influenced by genetics. The main theoretical and political conclusions stemming from thisresearch corpus are discussed.
