In this study some still unanswered questions about the attentional focus are investigated: Are the boundaries of attentional focus sharply demarcated and distinguishable from the other spatial regions? Are differences in the performance on a detection task interpretable with the focusing of attention based on task demands? Could differences between inside and outside regions be interpreted as attributable to the effects of the attentional focus and not to retinal acuity? Results provide evidence in favor of affirmative answers to those questions.
