The present study was aimed to investigate long term learning in 15 individuals with Down syndrome, 15 with intellectual disability and 30 normal mental age matched controls. Namely, we explored the effect of a visual presentation on verbal long term memory. Our results document, in this condition, a comparable level of performance in the three groups. Theoretical and rehabilitative implication of the results are discussed.
