The Sudoku game offers a quite unique opportunity to investigate human theories of reasoning in very ecological settings notwithstanding the pure formal and abstract nature of the game. In replying to Lee et al. (2008) we claim for preserving the ecological condition of the game and propose a different explanation of what are the differences between the two basic tactics used to solve a Sudoku (Naked Single and Hidden Single) and why and when people use them. We support our argumentation by means of experimental evidence produced using both some of the same Sudoku schemas used by Lee et al., and Sudoku schemas devised ad hoc.
