In this article, some metaphors used by Sextus Empiricus are compared with as many evocative images taken from the Buddhist tradition, in particular from the Pali Canon and from the Zen teachings of the Chinese master Lin-chi. The comparison is not aimed at unlikely historical-philosophical reconstructions, but at suggesting theoretical food for thought capable of opening new perspectives in a transcultural sense. Through the mediation of the teacher, these ideas can be used in high school teaching, building paths starting from the “glocalµ demands of the new generations
