PAST-FUTURE: THE 2019 MATERA TOURIST LEGACY AFTER COVID-19. - The health emergency caused by Coved 19 has brought with it a consequent economic and socio-cultural crisis, resulting in an absolutely unprecedented framework for the tourism industry at national and international level. In fact, the tourism sector has suffered a more than dramatic impact, precisely because the mobility of people and the essential condition for the use of the services has disappeared, inducing potential travellers to abandon any holiday project (Subnet & Hon, 2020). Particularly critical situations are found, above all, in tourist destinations of historical and artistic interest that combine culture, business and congresses and attract more customers in terms of arrivals. The case of Matera, ready to manage and collect the legacy of the extraordinary year as ECoC, clearly imposed the urgency of determining an immediate strategy in planning actions and interventions that favor a new relaunch of the tourism supply chain.
