The Geneva Convention on refugees status is still an important document of international law, especially for the questions concerning the definition of refugee and the principle of non refoulment. There aren’t in the Convention norms relating the treatment of asylum seekers. This is an important question of actuality, above all for those countries (like Italy) of destination of migration flows. In Italy there are a lot of problems in the reception system of asylum seekers and European Court of Human Rights has condemned our State in several judgments. The respect of Geneva Convention and of European Convention of Human Rights always imposes the supremacy of fundamental rights for each person in all circumstances
