Recently the possibility of testing statistical hypotheses referring to the estimate of the reproducibility probability in a general parametric framework has been introduced. In this paper we show an analogous result for the Wilcoxon rank-sum test (WRS), provided that the family of distribution has been modeled through a parametrization that induces a stochastic ordering. From the technical perspective, this possibility follows from an original result on the strict stochastic ordering of the test statistic of the WRS test, that implies its strict unbiasedness.
