In recent years, new alarms have been sounded about growing water scarcity and the likely inability meet the water requirements of rapidly growing population. Water has thus become a resource that requires careful economic and environmental management. The cross country evaluation of water sector problems and institutional responses shows a shift toward an integrated management of water resources which targets the total water cycle and includes environmental sustainability as a key consideration. Key aspect of this new approach is to establish appropriate water pricing regimes that overtime reflect the full costs of supplying water, preserving water quality and maintaining the resource base. Aim of this paper is to analyse condition for water conservation and sustainable water use
