482This study examines the use of participatory approaches in the cultural and creative sectors (CCS), with a particular focus on the key patterns of participatory approaches and community involvement within the sector, and on the potential contribution of these tools to management practices. A systematic literature review (SLR) was conducted using the Scopus database, which yielded 45 key studies for analysis. The participatory tools were classified into three categories: planning and decision making, management, and evaluation. The findings indicated that participatory approaches were more prevalent in the management phase than in the planning and evaluation phases. The study highlights the need for more study of co-creation and co-assessment processes. Despite the limitations, the findings offer invaluable insights for enhancing community involvement in the CCS and informing policy decisions.
