This article analyses the implementation of the 'Personalized Health Budget' in social and healthcare services, within the broader context of transforming welfare models guided by the principles of personalization, territoriality, and individual empowerment. It argues that the Personalized Health Budget can offer advantages in designing clinical and rehabilitative interventions, understanding social determinants of health, and enhancing relationships between socio-health services and communities. However, the article argues that the use of Personalized Health Budgets may lead to standardization, promoting their complete adaptability within neoliberal contexts. Additionally, the article discusses the difficulty in evaluating the efficacy of the Personalized Health Budget through co-research processes or self-inquiry by disabled individuals. It proposes conducting research projects that investigate power imbalances, informed by perspectives from political ecology, disability studies, and transfeminism.
