The objective of the paper is to discuss the introduction of the interactive teaching and learning strategy and the connected methods in university courses as well as postgraduate and training activities. Specifically, the focus is on the use of educational digital games, tools that have received widespread attention due also the technological innovations and, recently, the COVID-19 pandemic. The second part of the paper regards the presentation of an educational digital game designed and realized to teach public policy decisionmaking through an interactive pedagogy. The first complete release of the game was tested in two university courses during the 2021-22 academic year and the main results are discussed in terms of improving the transmission of theoretical concepts, developing the interaction between teacher and students and between students, and the effectiveness of the digital support
