Among the provinces of Lazio, Viterbo has one of the strongest agricultural and rural connotations. Despite the transformations that have pervaded it in the last 50 years, the province has maintained this distinctive trait, accentuating the distances of the residents' consistency and of the use of the land for agricultural productive purposes, especially inner areas most suited to monocultures, and more accessible to Viterbo and Rome.
