The article focuses on the contribution of the accounting to the migration issues. Starting from a “critical” notion of accounting, according to which accounting is a social discipline aimed to change the world, the article, after a brief introduction of the critical accounting approach, presents a literature review of the studies focused on accounting and migration and analyzes the direction of accounting studies on migration, with the aim to stimulate ideas and discussion on a theme needing further research.
