The purpose of this essay is to reconstruct the figure of "kairos" not only as different from "chronos", but also as belonging to the realm of rhetoric and as an expression of mixture and complexity. It is therefore necessary to show why today the "kairos" is interesting especially for the sociology of risk and philosophy of management.
