Piergiorgio Donatelli, Giorgio Fazio and Stefano Petrucciani discuss Rahel Jaeggi's "Alienation" on the occasion of its Italian and English translations. Donatelli goes over crucial moments in the book and suggests a different way to tackle the issues treated from a Wittgensteinian perspective. Fazio places Jaeggi's work within German philosophical threads and connects it at the end with Jaeggi's recent work on forms of life. Petrucciani examines the book from the perspective of critical theory and of Marx's treatment of notions such as "Entfremdung" and "Entäusserung".
