The article presents the experience and the main results of the Ge.a. «Generations for the environment» project, a concrete example of intergenerational environmental education promoted in a city of the North-Eastern Italy. The project has combined environmental education and intergenerational dialogue seeking to encourage the participation of young and elderly people in community life and to increase the sense of social cohesion. Moreover, allowing these two generations to take action for a common goal, the project has contribute in changing their mutual perceptions.
