The article analyses the evolution of the regulatory framework related to the mega-event "Expo Milano 2015". The purpose of the analysis is to figure out if this regulation can be a model for mega-events in Italy. According to this study, the overcoming of an emergency model and the control systems introduced (headed by an independent authority) are the two most significant elements that represent the innovative legal framework of Expo Milano for the future.
