249In the last two parr. (§§ 54-55) of “Against Andocides for Impiety” (Ps. Lys. 6) the speaker tells the judges about a piece of advice given in the past by his grandfather Diocles (a member of the priestly family of the Eumolpids) concerning a case of impiety. The assay aims to explain why this may be seen as an allusion to the episode of Callias (And. 1.110-116), and why it might have been made it in front of the judges. The problem raised by the verb (sunebouvleuse) is also dealt with.
