The Lab of the Professional Master'sdegree in ArchitectonicalRestoration represents the elementof continuity accompanying the didactics'development and entirelydedicated to the application of astudy case. In 2011 and 2012, theTorre dei Conti - massive medievalbuilding now disused and partiallycompromised - has been chosen asit. It presents itself as a joint betweenthe modern Via Cavour andthe visible ruins of Nerva's forum.The Lab's aim is to teach how a restoration project's redaction developswith available dates and in agiven time. In this case, the MunicipalSuperintendence of Rome allowedaccess and made the necessarymaterial within a fruitful tenyearcooperation to the ProfessionalMaster's degree in ArchitectonicalRestoration of RomaTre University.The results are shown in the tablesillustrating the article; they providedocumentary evidence of the subjectsdiscussed in the Lab: restorationof the building at its currentconditions; re-creation of the originalimage through partial or entirereconstruction of its collapsedparts; restoration of the Tower'scurrent urban context.
