In this short article I argue for a rehabilitation of the study of consciousness from the second person perspective, which is different to the first person as well as to the third person perspective. According to my thesis, consciousness from the second person perspective is better understood as a relational epistemic process. However, I also hold that the second person perspective is to be understood in behavioral terms, because there are no other viable approaches with which to study conscious processes.
