Parisi's argument is based on oversimplifications and a poor and dogmatic image of both philosophy and science. Therefore, the question he asks concerning the present state of mind research ("Is it science or philosophy?") cannot be answered. Indeed, this question will have no meaning until a better account and a subtler (and more realistic) analysis of the state of affairs are provided.
