The article compares the Italian experience - which is being put in concrete form through a bill recently discussed - to the experience of some European countries (France and Great Britain) and of U.S. and U.S.S.R. on the subject of the parliamentary control on governmental appointive power in public corporations. The analysis allows a close examination of the analogies and differences that come out from the said experiences and shows a remarkable paralle lism of the Italian model with the American mechanism of senatorial "advice and consent"
