The national service of Financial inspector generals is an important political- institutional structure of the Ministry of Finance. It is, in fact, functionally tied to the President of the Council of Ministers, and occupies a special role in tre system. It is characterized mainly by its functions of coordination and control of the activities of the fiscal apparatus, elaboration of the guide-lines of fiscal politics, and direct (political-administrative) intervention in investigative activities
