Stay in mystical structures .- Religious tourism is worthy, in western Europe, about 7,5 billion euro a year. Italy draws 30% of this value, being second after France. A privileged observatory on religious tourism is the annual meeting «Aurea», defined «Exchange on Religious Tourism and Protected areas».. This event has become fundamental for explaining the evolution of this sector and helping its operators to understand new sceneries. Religious tourism is like a road between faith and culture, history and identity, tradition and innovation. For these reasons, it’s an important sector of touristic economy, both for its total economic value and to improve low-saison fluxes. Travellers of everyage are looking for a shorter or longer holiday in religious structures. Rather than former monasteries, transformed in five-star hotels, such tourists seek especially forestries or even cells to share for a while the monks’ or nuns’ life, taking also part in the normal life of the places.Italy is full of nunneries and monasteries, which since the middle ages give hospitality to the walking pilgrims. In this work, I mean to speak about this form of «left-aside» tourism, which puts itself, in my opinion, at a crossing between various forms of tourism, as I will explain.
