Verona is one of the most known Italian cities at international level. Rich of history, Verona has valuable monuments, a literary fame due to the Shakesperean myth of Romeo and Juliet and attracts important touristic flows thanks to the cultural events it hosts and to the entrance in the Unesco Heritage List. For all these reasons tourism in Verona represents an important element in local and national economy. The result depends in large part on the guest satisfaction which depends on the reception, hospitality and quality of the service received. With a situation that appears positive from the number of guests point of view, and considering that tourism is one of the few sectors with margin of growth, in 2011 a research has started with the objective to investigate the reasons of the visit and the level of satisfaction of the tourist coming to Verona. In this work we present the results of this investigation, together with a series of findings useful to understand the perception and problems of tourists and visitors during their stay and suggestions for the different stakeholders in order to increase the performances of the sector.
