182Some types of spices, although originating in faraway places, may represent a valuable lever for development of some italian regions. In fact, some of them are bound to dedicated projects that, in disseminating knowledge and quality, activate processes of territorial exploitation for the tourist flows. Saffron and chilli offer the most attractive opportunities for developing such original tracks. Both typical products, despite their limited diffusion (at least the first), are very important from the economic, cultural, social and medical points of view. The two spices have deep ties with their territories election, they are consolidate in the local and can be very effective on various diseases, as recently confirmed by a number of scientific researches.
