123Mozzarella di Bufala Campana DOP is among the best known local products of Campania region. In some territories, the link between this kind of cheese and food tourism is becoming particularly promising. Because of its reputation and the strong appreciation received both in Italy and abroad, Mozzarella can be used as an important communication vehicle of already recognized territorial excellence, as it is happening in the province of Salerno. On the other hand, it can also be a great opportunity to strengthen the territories where, as in the province of Caserta, the product image is more evocative than the location image.
