Sheila Dow, Sylvie Rivot and Adelino Zanini discuss Anna Carabelli’s Keynes on Uncertainty and Tragic Happiness. Complexity and Expectations (2021). Sheila Dow’s paper takes as its starting-point Anna Carabelli’s discussion of Keynes’s concept of tragic happiness, and explores the non-dualistic nature of Keynes’s conceptualisations with respect to real subject matter. Sylvie Rivot’s paper analyses Anna Carabelli’s contributions to our understanding of Keynes’s economics by focusing on the issues of knowledge and uncertainty, and claims that Carabelli’s contributions go far beyond the specific case of Keynes’ economics, but apply more broadly to her understanding of economics as a way of thinking. Finally, assuming the role played by uncertainty in Keynes’s work, Adelino Zanini’s review focuses on the impact of decision-making in the relationship between radical uncertainty and ethical uncertainty
