In the context of the legal dimension, history, literature and art teach us that women have had greater difficulties in obtaining, exercising and enforcing their rights in terms of the legal profession than in other fields. The invective virulence of Valerio Massimo towards the impudent Caia Afrania, the toga «denied» to Lidia Poët are some examples of an unshared aspiration, judged as an elusive utopia, full of dangers for the social order of those times. They seem like distant stories, but looking back at the experience of that time with the eyes of the present teaches us that the events narrated are perhaps the best tool for venturing into the depths of ourselves
