349This research uses an integrative approach to analyze the relationship between prosocial behaviors (PBs) and organization, both conceptually and methodologically. PBs are analyzed using a reading grid based on results from a preliminary study that proposes a new PB taxonomy of 3 categories (and 9 subcategories) and complementary indicators. The organization is analyzed in terms of roles related to PBs, both passive (as context of expression and beneficiary) and active (as benefactor and related variable). A systematic review of the literature reveals two profiles of articles dealing with the relationship between PBs and organization. The context of expression and the type of measure predominate over the categories and beneficiaries (as well as their proximity to the benefactor) of the PBs. The number of PB-related organizational variables are very few for PBs performed in a generalized context. The results are discussed, and research prospects are proposed.
