384Social sculpture and the anthropological vision of art for a profound revolution of human thought are the foundations of Joseph Beuys’ theories. In his famous performance works the German artist communicated with live (coyote) and dead (hare) animals, and discussed the principle of direct democracy for 100 days in Kassel. He also refused the closed number of admissions to the Academy of Düsseldorf, and was among the founders of the Green Movement in Germany that anticipated the debate on current issues by half a century.
