537Here it will be presented the first Italian translation of Max Weber’s two commentaries to Ernst Troeltsch’s lecture, delivered at the First Conference of German Sociologists in Frankfurt am Main in 1910. Some of the central and most renowned themes of Weber’s sociology of religions are discussed: the definitions of church and sect types, the relationship between the religious and economic spheres, and the link between psychological motives for action and conduct of life. These speeches also introduce an important and novel topic: Weber’s observations on Russian religiosity and the acosmism of love.
