The primary goal of a mental health service is to address and treat complex diseases that require multi-professional intervention and often the use of multiple intervention settings. The work group is a delicate system that needs continuous care and maintenance in order not to encounter psychopathological diseases and drifts. The processing of the remains and materials not always metabolizable in official meetings becomes central. The interstitial spaces are heavily influenced by the work group’s climate and are continually risked being clogged with toxic materials that come from daily clinical activity but also from imposing institutional phenomena, such as poor management of institutional secrets that can undermine the leadership’s ability to maintain a parenting position including group phenomena. A psychoanalytic vision that is attentive to the context and enhances experiences and intermediary products represents a great opportunity for study and research.
