The article discusses the growing impact of globalization on the cultural heritage sector, which reverberates primarily on the concept of the cultural heritage of humanity, extended to the point of including every expression of a people's identity image. The importance attributed to "cultural diversity", in the international and supranational vision, indicates an unequivocal emancipation of the immaterial value of the cultural good that requires a systematic and evolutionary reinterpretation not only of the current perimeter of the national cultural heritage (anchored, until today, to the concept of "res qui tangi potest"), but also of its legal regime.
