166Despite of the so-called 'aporetic' status of Plato's Theaetetus, in its part between 184 C-185 E Plato reaches a fundamental outcome. Indeed, he conceives a very original notion of soul, according to which the soul plays a leading role in knowledge. In the meantime, he develops an epistemological theory that does not split thought and sensations by considering them as closely connected. The end point of that elaboration is the definition of 'thinking' provided by Plato in 189 E-190 A. According to it, the activity of thinking is an endless process by its very nature.
