40The boundary is a complex figure and cannot be considered only from the point of view of transgression and violation. The boundary line actually hides an area within which transitions and metamorphoses are determined between two or more fields. Through the analysis of a very famous passage in Rousseau's "Discourse on Inequality" (relationship between enclosure and private property), an important suggestion in Schiller' philosophy of history (the hunted becomes the hunter) and the difference between Niklas Luhmann and Michel Serres in the reception of the semantics of the parasite, this essay attempts to show that the potential for transformation inherent in the boundary can go either towards usurpation and the use of force, or towards a state of balance and peace.
