The book "Persona e memoria. Oltre la maschera: il compito del pensare come diritto alla filosofia" by Giuseppe Limone offers an interesting reflection on the concept of 'person'. The author claims that 'person' and 'individual' have different meanings. While the concept of 'person' indicates the human being in his singularity, that of 'individual' cannot overstep the inherent generality of the concept as concept. By analysing Limone's reasoning, my aim is to examine the coherence of this distinction with a focus on the principle of individuation and the problem of the one and the many.
