The paper is about how networks and technologies are reshaping urban places, creating new forms ofsociality by overlapping and connecting people and spaces. Networks are not regarded as communicationtechnologies, but also and foremost as information and economic ecosystems interacting according tonon codified logics, where market and communication codes overlap and create new temporalities, governancesystems and spaces to be redesigned. The author argues that networks are both strategic devices allowingnew possibilities of perception and social relationships, and tools to support environmental and socio-economicresilience.
