Observations carried out using the most powerful sub-millimeter interferometer, the Atacama Large Millimeter Array (ALMA), have revealed the presence of a circumstellar disk rotating around a young star of 18 solar masses, located in a high-mass star-forming region of the Milky Way. This new finding contributes to our understanding of the physical processes responsible for the formation of massive stars.
