The highest temperature ever measured in a terrestrial laboratory is that of the hadronisation of the quark-gluon plasma produced in the collisions of atomic nuclei at ultra-high energy, exceeding 1,900 billion degrees. It is determined by analysing the multiplicity of the particles produced depending on their mass.
