This article analyzes to the experience of European Union members countries in the evaluation of agrienvironmental politicise implemented in the framework of EU Regulations 2078/92 and 1752/99. The relative methodologies with regard to the analysis of the economic efficiency, environmental effectiveness and transaction costs are examined, trying to characterize points of strength and weakness of different analytical tools and to evidence the existing informative gap for being able to proceed to an effective environmental evaluation. From the analysis of the studies lead in Europe it emerges that, also in the extreme variety of the approaches, there is still a lack a global vision that should demand the use of methodologies that utilize data belonging to different sources – administrative, economic and environmental – and should integrate approaches that belong to various disciplines.
