78In today's global economy new opportunities for growth and development are opening up for businesses, particularly those of a limited size. Projecting one's area of activity onto the global markets was once seen as one of the many strategic options open to businesses, but today it has become a necessity, a real "condition for survival". In this regard, global networks have become the system that most SMEs spontaneously choose to adopt in order to increase their competitiveness in a global environment. These networks make it possible to overcome the limitations of their small size, granting access, at a low cost, to the tangible and intangible resources all over the world that can be taken advantage of thanks to the network.
