The article aims at rethinking the ethics of care in the light of the necessityof a transformation of ethics and a redefinition of moral life pressed by theperspective of Wittgenstein's thought and the tradition of ordinary languagephilosophy. By proposing to valorize conditions like caring and attention toothers, the ethics of care has greatly contributed to modifying a dominantconception of ethics. In so doing, it has also helped to face questions in politicaltheory and especially the issues around security and vulnerability in the light ofthe notions of attention, care, and importance which go unseen in traditionaltheories of justice.
